We’re All Going on a Summer Holiday – A Collaboration with Sue Phelps Photography

Back in April I shot with Sue Phelps of Sue Phelps Photography. Sue came up with the fantastic idea of re-creating a vintage lady embarking on her travels for the shoot. As I try to pack for my own summer vacation (and am currently struggling to cram my clothes into a much larger suitcase than the vintage one shown here) I found myself thinking back to this wonderful shoot. I am sure many of you vintage ladies are also planning summer trips so I thought it would be a nice time to share some of these beautiful shots with you all.

For the shoot I teamed my Vivien of Holloway navy sateen circle skirt with my Collectif red and white polka dot dolores top. I accessorised the outfit with the Collectif white and navy skipper belt, navy patent court shoes from New Look, blue and white nautical hoop earings from George at Asda and an anchor brooch I picked up at a vintage market. To accompany the look I wacked my hair up in some victory rolls on the top of my head and swept the rest of my pin curled hair to one side with bobby pins.

I am so pleased with the images. At one point in the shoot the sun came out and really illuminated the greenery alongside the river and the graffiti artwork underneath the bridge. The bright and bold colours perfectly match my summer holiday outfit!

So, here are the images…I hope you all enjoy!

Once again, a massive thank you to Sue for such a wonderful day and these beautiful images. Papow and I look forward to working with you again in the future!
